A domestic wastewater biological treatment plant is a system of several tanks and an effluent disinfection unit of stainless steel.

The purification of sewage water is processed as followed:

    Start of construction work 

• Air supply: To increase the settling of suspended solids.
   

• Primary sedimentation tank: the sludge is converted into a solid mass, the suspended solids are skimmed off and the pollutants are disposed of.
   

• Biological oxidation plant: This unit biologically oxidizes organic and non-organic material and mineralizes the organic contaminants.
   

• Disinfection through UV radiation: UV radiation causes damage to the genetic structure of protozoa, especially E. coli bacteria and other pathogens harmful to human health.
   

WATER RESERVOIR

At present all water created in the sanitary installations is purified and used to water our soccer field. In future we plan to irrigate further green areas of our school.

Companies and institutions, which operate a water treatment plant and have received the permission of SOAPAP will be released of payment of the bill for drainage and clearing of disposed water, thus resulting in a 50 % savings in the water service invoice .
